I’m Matt, a San Diego-based designer and educator with two decades of experience in branding, sport, and culture.
In college, I pushed pixels in the design lab by day and pushed brooms by night as a custodian. I hustled between classrooms and mop closets, always dreaming of a future in design.
Since then, I’ve designed for country music stars, X Games athletes, pro sports teams, and major footwear brands.
Today, I’m also in the classroom, teaching students who are where I once was: anxious, driven, and ready to carve their own path. My mission is to pass on not just the skills, but the real-world insight it takes to thrive in this industry.
You could say I used to keep the floors swept,
and now I keep the type set.
